Concerts in the Park is in full swing and last week’s show brought in record breaking attendance. With this many people heading to Downtown Sac every week, you want to look your best while being comfortable, of course. It’s easy as one, two, TEE! Tee shirts are a great way to express your individual style while also being casual in this warm weather.

I used to think tee shirts couldn’t be dressed up but that was before I wore one with a skirt. I realized there’s no need to compromise my girly side because I’m wearing a tee shirt, and there’s no reason why you should either. Here, I paired my tee with a ruffle floral print skirt and wedge sandals. Heels and grass do not go together, and wedges give you a bit of lift, while also allowing you to navigate through the crowd at CIP. To give the tee a bit of flair, I threw on my gold fringe necklace, and when the sun hits it, it shines.

Skirts not your thing? How about some khaki pants? These camo pants are some of my favs. Comfy and breathable, these pants can be dressed up or down and are perfect for a summer evening at CIP. Not to mention they have pockets, which are great for keeping my beverage tokens close by.

Other stylish items to keep in mind:

  • Small purse – It’s CIP and ain’t nobody got time for someone to run into a big old purse. 🙂 Keep your essentials in a cross body or small handbag for a stylish twist. While I’d like to say that everyone will be on their best behavior, you also will reduce the risk of having your bag picked at or stolen if it’s close to you.
  • Sunglasses – OK, whether the sun in blazing in your face, or you’re trying to lay low while enjoying the sounds of your favorite band, you’re going to need some shades to keep you looking fly. I love this chart as it helps you determine what size glasses are good for your face shape.
  • Oversized Scarf – An oversized scarf will not only keep you warm if the delta breeze kicks in, but it also doubles as a mini-blanket for you to sit on at the concert!

Because I’m accident prone (ketchup on white shirt has happened too many times), I chose a black tee. See you at the park!
