Santa’s Coming to the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink!

Jordyn Anderson

santavillage_themedays If you haven’t taken your pictures with Santa because you’ve been dreading a trip to the mall, the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink has you covered!

This Saturday, from 12-2 p.m., Santa’s Village, presented by Western Health Advantage, will transform the ice rink into a holiday winter wonderland.

Before you head to the rink, check out the annual Santa Parade, which circles Capitol Park, starting at 14th and N. The parade kick off at 10 a.m., so be sure to secure a snag a good spot early. After the parade, wrangle up the family and hightail your way over to 7th and K, where Santa and his holiday helper will be awaiting your arrival!

There will be an opportunity to take pictures on Santa’s sleigh with the man himself, and his elf companion. There will also be Christmas carolers singing all of your favorite classic holiday songs. Who said taking pictures for your Christmas card had to be unenjoyable?

After your photo with Santa, lace up your skates and get on the ice! Make sure you charge up before you come because there will be plenty Instagram-worthy shots!

Santa’s Village makes for the perfect Saturday afternoon activity to get the whole family into the holiday spirit. Don’t catch a case of FOMO, come out and see what all the hype is about!

Unlimited skate time at the rink will only set you back $12, but here’s an insider tip: if you’re a Western Health Advantage member, you can get $5 off admission! Don’t qualify? That’s okay! My58 will be on site until 4 p.m., and if you mention them to the cashier, they’ll knock $2 off the cost of admission. Sweet deal!
